- The great thing about studying in Germany is that there are no tuition fees. This applies to not only the locals but foreign students as well. However there may be additional expenses which you need to cover, such as accommodation, study materials and day-to-day expenses.
- Even if your study programme is in English, it helps a lot to be fluent in or atleast partly know the German language.
- Travel in Germany is affordable. Trains, metros, streetcars and buses are available in every city and they’re also safe to travel in. Monthly student tickets can be purchased at an incredibly low cost and lets you travel for an extensive amount of distance.
- Note that generally on Sundays, the stores are closed and there may be no one in the streets. Stock up on the essentials during the rest of the week and use this time to get some shut eye.
- Post-graduation, a grace period of 18 months is offered within which you may look for a job. Part-time work may be taken up while studying at a university, for up to 20 hours during their academic term and full-time during vacations.
